Over 3000 head of cattle will be entered, with animals staying at the core of the show. Balmoral Park welcomes back sheep classes, displaying three new breeds. The Sheep Shearing Fold will be buzzing this year when the Six Nations Shearing Championship takes place on Saturday, May 14th.

Many family favorites are returning to the showgrounds, including the Children's Farm, Downtown Show Stage, Healthy Horticulture Area, and BBC Roadshow, as well as many mobile family attractions.

The Royal Ulster Agricultural Society will commemorate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee this year with a series of unique activities held over the Show days. The Women's Institute of Northern will also be commemorating their 90th anniversary by returning to the Show with their ever-popular art, craft, and garden exhibits, as well as delectable baked goods and sweets.

"We are happy to welcome guests back to Balmoral Park this May for the 153rd Show in association with Ulster Bank," said Rhonda Geary, Operations Director. We held the event in September last year, but we are delighted to be back to our traditional May date, kicking off the Northern Ireland show season.

"With so much to see and do, The Show promises to be a fun-filled day out." It's everything in the Show, whether you're seeking for family fun, wonderful cuisine, or the chance to see amazing cattle!"

"The Balmoral Show in partnership with Ulster Bank continues to be the leading event in the Northern Ireland agricultural calendar, and after last year's hybrid show, there will be a huge appetite to see a return to the full-scale event," said Mark Crimmins, Regional Managing Director, Ulster Bank NI.

"We have been a primary sponsor of the RUAS since 2009 and are happy to contribute to its continuing success." This sponsorship represents Ulster Bank's larger commitment to the local agri-food sector, and while we recognize that the business has many problems, it also offers numerous potential. Our message to farmers and producers is that we are here to assist you in achieving your objectives, and our staff have the resources and knowledge to assist you. We are looking forward to returning to Balmoral Park and joining up with our customers and industry friends to celebrate everything that this vital and thriving sector has accomplished."
