The Cannes Stars sees an accomplished lineup of cross-continental riders forming what is set to be a highly competitive team for the year ahead.
Kim Emmen is set to be joined by Laura Klaphake, crowd favourite Yuri Mansur, Suus Kuyten, Isabella Russekoff and Max Wachman (U25).
Can this new combination of riders create history for the Cannes Stars?

Kim Emmen Competing for: Netherlands Age: 28
Laura Klaphake Competing for: Germany Age: 29
After competing for three seasons on the St Tropez Pirates team, Laura Klaphake switched to the Cannes Stars in 2020, and the Berlin Eagles in 2021. The young talent rode for London Knights in 2022 but swaps back to Cannes Stars for 2023 and has a string of top horses that will suit all the different arenas in the League.
Yuri Mansur Competing for: Brazil Age: 43
Yuri transfered from Doha Falcons to Scandinavian Vikings for the 2022 season alongside a stellar lineup of talent. But for 2023 he was signed by the epic Cannes Stars to help their firepower reach the podium in what is set to be the most competitive GCL season ever.

Suus Kuyten Competing for: Netherlands Age: 36
Dutch rider Suus Kuyten has been seen on the LGCT circuit in previous seasons, but 2020 marked her first year riding in the GCL team competition. She stayed with Hamburg Giants for 2022, with the team recruiting some new experienced faces. For the 2023 battle, Suus was picked up by the Cannes Stars to to help them achieve their goals in the new season.
Isabella Russekoff Competing for: United States Age: 22
Young rider Isabella Russekoff was new to the LGCT and GCL circuit in 2022, and made her mark on the new team. She rides also rides for the Cannes Stars in 2023 and will be aiming to take the team up the leaderboard this year.
Max Wachman Competing for: Ireland Age: 19
In 2019 Max won an individual gold medal and team gold medal at the European Pony Championships in Strzegom, Poland. The talented youngster is going to be a key part of the Cannes Stars in 2023, riding as their U25 rider alongside experienced competitors for the second year running.
