The reigning Olympic and European gold-medal-winning partnership of Germany’s Jessica von-Bredow Werndl and her fabulous 15-year-old mare TSF Dalera strutted to a convincing victory in today’s sixth and final qualifying leg of the FEI Dressage World Cup™ 2021/2022 Western European League in ’s-Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands.
The pair, who also topped the line-up at the previous round of the series on home ground in Neumünster last month, were last to go. And posting 90.555 percent they finished well clear of defending champion and German legend Isabell Werth who lined up second with the 12-year-old stallion DSP Qantaz on a score of 84.870.
The always-exciting Swede, Patrik Kittel, steered the big-moving 10-year-old mare Forever Young HRH into third (82.500), pinning Great Britain’s Charlotte Fry and Dark Legend (82.325) into fourth place.
Today’s competition fulfilled the qualification criteria for Von-Bredow Werndl who earlier this week announced that she is expecting her second baby to arrive in August, and who looks set to be the one to beat at the much-anticipated FEI Dressage World Cup™ Final 2022 which will take place in Leipzig, Germany from 6 to 10 April.
