Introducing Burghley TV 2022

From the first horse inspection on Wednesday to the final showjumping phase, you will be able to watch each competitor perform each phase of the competition.

Burghley TV is available by subscription via the website and the package costs £20. This includes access to footage from previous Land Rover Burghleys, the exclusive preview of course-designer Derek di Grazia’s cross-country track, and other indepth features.

While the usual “highlights”  programme will air on the BBC on Sunday afternoon, which will also include the final few showjumping rounds, Burghley TV is the ONLY way to watch all of the coverage from Land Rover Burghley this year if you’re not able to join us in person.

Yogi Breisner Masterclass

We’re delighted to announce that world-famous coach Yogi Breisner will be hosting an extra-special masterclass, Educating the Racehorse, at Land Rover Burghley on Thursday, 1 September.

Yogi, who led the British eventing team to so many gold medals from 2000-2016, is as well-known for improving the jumping skills of racehorses and jockeys as he is event riders. His “guinea pigs” at Burghley will be none other than 2021 Badminton winner and Olympic team gold medallist Laura Collett, and three-times champion Flat jockey Oisin Murphy.

With dressage legend Carl Hester providing Friday’s masterclass, Burghley 2022 offers you extraordinary chances to watch and learn from the best of the best.

Mini Superstars

Superstars in miniature form - that’s the unique appeal of the Shetland Pony Grand National, back at Burghley for 2022. It’s the perfect pre-cross-country warm-up for spectators on Saturday morning, as these cute, feisty Shetlands career around Burghley’s Main Arena and over their mini steeplechase fences at top speed. Who didn’t want to be a Shetland Grand National jockey as a child? We know we did!

Celebrating Our Native Breeds

Many aspects of Land Rover Burghley 2022 chime with the national celebrations of The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, and we are thrilled to welcome a parade of one of Her Majesty’s favourite equine breeds, the Fell pony.

The Fell Pony Society, of which The Queen is Patron, is organising a parade of these beautiful British native ponies in the Main Arena on Sunday, 4 September, before the final session of showjumping.

New Fashion Sponsor for 2022

We are hugely excited to welcome Fairfax & Favor as a sponsor at Burghley in 2022. The leading British fashion brand - founded not far from Burghley, in Norfolk - will sponsor a new fence on Burghley’s renowned cross-country course, the Fairfax & Favor Boot Racks.

The company will have its largest-ever Burghley trade stand at the 2022 event, with the additional space used to showcase its signature footwear, accessories and clothing.  A particular highlight will be the launch of Fairfax & Favor’s limited edition Burghley collection of tan and olive boots, bags and accessories.
