Germany takes FEI Dressage Nations Cup™ opener in Wellington

After taking the series title in 2021, Germany picked up where it left off in FEI Dressage Nations Cup™ competition, riding away with the win in the 2022 season's opening leg at CDIO3* Wellington (USA).

The squad of Michael Klimke (Harmony's Sanrino RHP), Christoph Koschel (Dünensee), Lars Ligus (Soccer City) and Frederic Wandres (Dolciario) bested the home nation by just over a percentage point (433.337), thanks to strong Day 1 performances in the Prix St. Georges and Grand Prix that, despite a furious late rally from Team USA, could not be surpassed.

The top two nations set themselves apart. The U.S. squad took silver (432.265), with Canada bronze (409.091).
