What's on in Summer 2024?
The weather is heating up—and so is the action! There's a full calendar of events ahead to keep you busy and enjoying the great outdoors.
 
                                                                                                    First up, starting this Wednesday, May 29th, at Knockagh View Equestrian, is the KR Equine Veterinary Services Mid-Week Show Jumping League 1. Competitors must compete in 4 out of the first 5 weeks—June 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th—in the same class, plus the final, to be eligible for the beautiful sashes, rosettes, and prizes. These will be awarded at the final and are very kindly sponsored by KR Equine Veterinary Services Ltd.

Knockagh View Equestrian’s Summer Dressage League is currently underway, with week 2 occurring on Sunday, June 2. The competition includes classes from assisted Intro to Advanced Medium.

Arena Eventing takes place at Knockagh View on June 8th with a course of Show Jumps followed by a course of cross country type fences with an optimum time. Classes from 60cms, 75cms & 90cms with prizes in all classes.

Hagans Croft Equestrian starts the month with their Show Jumping League 1 on June 1st, sponsored by Copa Equestrian. Classes range from X-Pole to 1.10m. To qualify for the final in week 5, each horse/pony and rider combination must compete in 3 out of the 5 weeks and within the same class. The subsequent league dates are June 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th. Great prizes to be awarded at the final!

Portmore Equestrian Centre is running a training show from X-Poles to 1.30m on Saturday, June 1st, Saturday, June 8th, and Saturday, June 22nd. Classes start at 10:00 AM.

Gransha Equestrian is hosting a Friday Night Fun Jumping event on June 14th in the outdoor arena. Classes start with X-Poles and progress up to 1.00M. The chip van will be open for refreshments.

For anyone looking to get started or wanting to improve their riding in Northern Ireland, Gransha Equestrian Centre offers a range of lessons from Beginners right through to Advanced, with expert tuition available from Tuesday through to Sunday throughout the month.

If you're based in Cheshire, Wirral Riding Centre offers private lessons and group lessons with over 30 horses and ponies able to accommodate all abilities from beginners through to experienced riders.
