Mexico kicked off the North and Central America and Caribbean division of the Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ series with an authoritative victory on home turf Sunday in Coapexpan (MEX).

Entering the second round, the Mexican squad of Nicolas Pizarro (Pia Contra), Federico Fernandez (Romeo), Patricio Pasqel (Babel) and Manuel Gonzalez Dufrane (Hortensia van de Leeuwerk) held a three-rail advantage over Canada. While the Canadians would rally, Mexico held on for a comfortable victory to kick off the qualifying season for the Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ Finals in Barcelona (ESP).

A shocking elimination from the United States in Round 1 left just Mexico and Canada on the podium.
