In the fight for the coveted Championship a brand new team, Stockholm Hearts Powered by H&M We Love Horses look very strong on paper. All four H&M riders, current world number one Peder Fredricson, Swedish sensation Malin Baryard-Johnsson and 2021 GCL Super Cup winners Nicola and Olivier Philippaerts will feature alongside young talent USA’s Lillie Keenan and U25 rider Lily Attwood.

Peder Fredricson: Competing for Sweden: Age 50: World Number One (February 2022) Peder joins a brand new team for 2022 - Stockholm Hearts. Having ridden for Valkenswaard United and Prague Lions, he is no stranger to the GCL team competitions and brings a wealth of experience from a host of top level competitions and championships in an eye-catching team move. He rides alongside the Philippaerts brothers, his Tokyo Olympics teammate Maling Baryard Johnsson, Lillie Keenan and Lily Attwood.

Olivier Philippaerts: Competing for Belgium: From Gruitrode: Age 28: Olivier is already an experienced rider of the GCL team competition, first competing with Paris Jets in 2016, then the Rome Gladiators in 2017 before joining the London Knights in 2018. After a successful 2019 season where he won in London with Ben, he had a great event in Doha 2020, winning with his brother Nicola for the first time. 

In 2022 he now moves to new team Stockholm Hearts from London Knights alongside his brother, and joins Swedish stars Peder Fredericson and Malin Baryard Johnsson alongside Lillie Keenan and U25 Lily Attwood.

Nicola Philippaerts: Competing for Belgium: From Gruitrode: Age 28: Nicola has also been competing in the GCL team competition since its creation in 2016, first on the Paris Jets team in 2016, then the Chantilly Pegasus in 2017, before joining his brother on the London Knights in 2018. He moves to Stockholm Hearts in 2022 as well as his brother, and joins a star-studded lineup of riders.

Malin Baryard-Johnsson: Competing for Sweden: From Norrköping: Age 46: Malin began riding at the age of six. She was a very successful as Junior and Young Rider, winning European Championship Team Silver (1994) and Individual Bronze (1995) at Young Rider level. Since then she has competed in nine FEI World Cup Finals, four Senior European Championships, four World Championships and four Olympic Games, including winning Team Gold at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. 

She joins new team Stockholm Hearts for 2022 alongside her Olympic Teammate Peder Fredricson and a star-studded list of names in an exciting addition to the GCL Circuit.

Lillie Keenan: Competing for United States: Age 25: Lillie makes her debut on the GCL circuit for Stockholm Hearts, a new team for 2022. She joins top riders Peder Fredricson, Malin Baryard Johnsson and Olivier and Nicola Philippaerts, as well as U25 Lily Attwood. Can the team shake things up at the top of the leaderboard this year?

Lily Attwood: Competing for United Kingsom: Age 20: Lily joins brand new team Stockholm Hearts as their U25 talent for the 2022 season, bringing her experience to date to this exciting new team.
